At long last, relaxation is in my sights! Early Tuesday morning, Craig and I head to
Cat Island in the Bahamas for seven days at
Fernandez Bay Village. Considering our usual vacations involve peddling up mountain passes on bikes or trekking through the wilderness with backpacks, it's understandable that people look at us suspiciously when we respond to questions of what we'll be doing on Cat Island (perhaps some snorkeling, a bit of hiking, mostly just relaxing on the beach)... I suppose it would make more sense if I listed the things we will
not be doing - remodeling the kitchen, chasing after four dogs (we've been
watching Gracie and Otis), taking Holden all over town for follow-up blood calcium testing, going to prenatal visits, preparing meals with no counters or burners,
working, etc., etc. Oh, and have I mentioned that the third trimester is exhausting?! Despite the fact that everyone says I'm "carrying small," I feel like I'm carrying a large bowling ball around wherever I go. So, will I really just be relaxing on a hammock on Cat Island? You can count on it!
